TV Booth ... Delivery
Instant electronic delivery or next day air.
There are three ways to deliver voice tracks electronically. First -- and best -- is via ISDN line and codec. TV Booth's codecs are the MUSICAM CDQ 1000 and the MUSICAM RoadRunner. Codec is short for coder-decoder. Working with an ISDN/codec is like having an in-house announcer in your own TV booth down the hall. The ISDN/codec transmits high quality audio in real time.
Web site posting and E-mail are inexpensive alternatives to the ISDN/codec. There are no long distance telephone line charges. There is no need to get an ISDN line or invest in an expensive codec. The disadvantage is that audio files are large and take a long time to upload and download, but this problem is mitigated through the use of compressed WAV or MP3 files.
If your station is DGS equipped, TV Booth can record and transmit audio to DGS for you today. When TV Booth provides tag & marry service (see service) we use DGS for both incoming and outgoing audio files. DGS sends last-minute daily topical spots from The Oprah Winfrey Show to the Booth. We do the tag & marry, send the completed spots back and DGS distributes the spots to the appropriate radio stations.
If you can't receive electronically delivered audio, TV Booth audio tracks will arrive at your station the next morning. Your CD, DAT or open reel tape will sent by "next day air letter" via your choice of FedEx, Airborne, or UPS.
